The Cambridge years of C S Lewis

Unique Experience

This 1.5-hour walking tour covers the years that C S Lewis spent in Cambridge in the 1950s and early 1960s. We shall walk some of the streets he walked, listen to some quotes from his books read out loud, and if anyone is willing, even talk about some of the topics which interested him. Lewis once said "I can’t imagine a man really enjoying a book and reading it only once.” This tour will show you that C S Lewis was more than the famous author who wrote The Chronicles of Narnia.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can children join the tour?

C S Lewis is very well-known for having written the children book series "The Chronicles of Narnia" but this tour will make little mention of Narnia. In other words, it is a tour for adults. Good news if you read Lewis' books as a child, but not so if you are an 8-12 year-old child. It is unlikely that people younger than 14 years of age will be able to enjoy and appreciate this tour.

Will the tour go ahead when there is a bad weather?

Except in extraordinary circumstances of bad weather, the tour will go ahead.

Can I book a tour with you if I have limited mobility or other access issues?

If you inform me in advance this should not stop you from doing this tour.

I went on the CS Lewis tour and it was a great experience. Would highly recommend taking any tour with this guide, as he is very knowledgeable and conversational! My only regret is that I only had time to do one tour!

Cambridge: nido de espías durante 5 siglos

Cambridge
1 hour 30 min
