Mr Koki did an outstanding job planning out one-day tour at Kyoto with key sights per my request, not only the sequence of location, but also the time spent at each site and the efficient logistics traveling from one site to another. We were very impressed with his in-depth knowledge and story-telling about the historical and cultural background of those famous sites at Kyoto as well as the local traditions. He also introduced us to the delicious local food and drinks. It was definitely the highlight of our Japan trip.
What a great find this tour was! We knew that we would be up early in Kyoto due to jet lag, and were pleased to find someone willing to do an “early bird” tour so we could beat the crowds at a few popular sites. The best part was, Koichi was not just willing to do an early tour, he was also a great guide. Entertaining and knowledgeable, Koichi came prepared with visuals that helped us better understand the history and context of the sites we visited. He spoke English very well, and made the morning fun as well as informative. He is a master photographer too, some of our best family photos from Japan were ones he took for us. He even left us with a hand made gift as a memento of our time in Kyoto. One thing that is important to know is that Koichi covers a lot of ground in a relatively short time on this tour. The amount and pace of walking was a little much for one of our party. We would whole heartedly recommend him as a guide, though, despite us being a little worn out. Arigato goziamsu Koichi for a memorable morning!
Makoto was a wonderful guide. He is very details oriented, provided us with a detailed itinerary, maps, and valuable history information before we even started the tour. Makoto was flexible and adjusted the itinerary to what we really wanted to see. He has a wonderful sense of humor as well and we had a fun day having him as a guide!
Atsuko was informative and very friendly. It was a great way to start our Japan journey and experience Osaka. Atsuko was able to accommodate our dietary needs and helped us with little tips for the rest of our stay in Osaka including restaurant recommendations near our hotel (as well as ways to find our way back to the hotel). I would highly recommend booking with Atsuko for enjoyable tour. Arigatou gozaimasu!
