We thoroughly recommend Akira as a personal guide to Tokyo. He is friendly, engaging and has a great sense of humour and it feels as though you are discovering the city with a friend rather than a guide. Akira clearly loves Tokyo and he brings a personal touch to his explanations which give a great sense of what it is like to live in this huge and multi faceted city. We gave Akira some information about our interests beforehand, and he tailored a wonderful tour which included some well known places but more importantly some places which we would not have discovered were it not for him, and simply followed a guidebook. He also provided us with extra information and links to other places we might want to visit. Thank you Akira, you helped to make our visit to Tokyo informative, fascinating and fun.

Guiding you and Rob was like guiding people who I met for the first time but known for many years. The weather was unpleasant that day and we had to change our itinerary, but something good happened that I found something in common between us when we started enjoying conversation at the coffee shop. After we talked enthusiastically about things we love such as Murakami, Beatles, Keb Mo, and etc, I started to have a feeling that it would be a fun day and I am so happy that the feeling was right. The rest of the 6 hours was like discovering the city with a friend rather than customers. All the places we went were places that I have visited hundreds of times however, being with great people like you and Rob, the sceneries never get me bored or tired but it bring me joy, fun, and new discoveries.
