Do you want a spiritual and hiking experience in one day?
Chichibu is famous for the pilgrimage of Buddhism in Japan. Surrounded by low mountains, 34 temples are dispersed in the city. If you want to visit all the temples, it will take 3days. As your guide, I will be able to walk or run with you for 7 or 8 hours in a day including eating lunch and taking Spa! You can refresh yourself after the pilgrimage and a long walk.

For 7 hours if we go, we can go around in the range of several Buddhist temples to 6 temples. While we walk, let me talk about Buddhist historical talk in the local and in Japan.
The local cuisine will surprise and satisfy your gastronomical instinct.

We are going to walk through the forest of ceder trees and urban area in Chichibu of Saitama prefecture. One can see japanese life style in rural area, then can feel the atomosphere of japanese buddhist temples. What is interesting to walk in this area would be what each temple has each benefit for pilgrims and each character. Having local dish during spending the day and taking the bath after a long walk are marvelous.

・It takes 2 hours from Ikebukuro station to Seibu-Chichibu station.
・This tour would need almost whole the day though the client can request when to start and finish.
・Lunch, the fee of Onsen facility and transportation fee are not included.

I enjoyed every single moment exploring and walking around Chichibu area with Daisuke. Daisuke was an amazing guide! He went above and beyond to ensure my comfort as well as being entertaining! His knowledge of Fuji-san and it’s surrounding made the tour fun as well as kept me occupied as my legs were getting tired on the long hike. Not only is he full of great facts, he is also a great person to talk to! I would say the highlight of my day with Daisuke was at the Chureito Pagoda, talking about movies and ghost stories while we waited for the clouds to part so we could see a better view of the mountain. It was a nice way to end the day before we headed back to the city. Although the weather was not in our favor to see the mountain, Daisuke made sure to show me other beautiful places and shrines that I wouldn’t see in the city. Daisuke was way more than a guide and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to explore Fuji-San or the Tokyo area.
