Second part of the "Yamanobe no michi"..The trip is a walking the trail between Sakurai and Yanagimoto JR stations. As the old palace of emperor "Makimuku" ( Some researchers believe that the site might be the old capital of Japan in 3 to 6 century with active trades and communication with Wei Dynasty of ancient China (A.D. 3rd century) , you can enjoy older historical spots along the trail.
At your Hotel in Nara. Tour will first go to Sakurai by train.
At your Hotel in Nara city, Tour will be ended at JR Yanagimoto station and ride train to Nara station.
You can visit many places where mentioned in the Japanese first history book, Kojiki published in early 8th century. As the ancient history book mentioned the historical events but mixed with myth, .careful anthropological studies have to be needed to distinguish these two. For example, although it was told that Jinmu emperor is the first emperor of Japan, anthropological study is clarifying that the first to 9th emperor can be in the myth and 10th emperor Sujin and Jinmu might be the same person. You can visit the tomb of Sujin in the tour. Another topic is the Japanese shaman, HImiko in Yamatai koku who ruled old Japan mentioned in the Chinese history book in 3rd century. There is an academic augment where Yamatai koku was located and not yet settled. As many copper mirrors which were mentioned in the historical book of the Wei Dynasty, were found in the makimuku area. Such scientific finding is the base that Yamatai koku might be located in Makimuku, You might visit Hasihaka tomb which can be the tomb of Himiko. The tour, therefore can explore the Japanese myth and old history.

Yasu was very attentive to the needs of my family and put together the perfect tour. The pace was steady and we saw a lot of what Kyoto had to offer even taking in some locale fare.
Dear Brian Thank you very much for your kind words for me and the tour. I am also very happy to know that you and your wife enjoyed the tour in Kyoto. Yasu
Yasu, was very responsive prior to the trip and arranged to meet us at Kyoto Station and even helped us on the way back navigate the bullet train tickets! He had arranged for a private taxi as the weather very hot and humid and and it allowed us to move quickly between destinations. As we were travelling from Tokyo and just doing the tour in Kyoto for a day, thus meant we could maximise our time and see as much as possible. Yasu's knowledge was exceptional and at every stop he gave us very insightful descriptions. In addition to the historical sights he showed us some of the cultural side of life in Japan, visiting parts of the old town, midtown where we saw festival floats that were highly decorated, and a famous market. Yasu was a charming, kind and had a fantastic knowledge base and wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to anyone. Kind regards, Adrian
Dear Adrian Thank you very much for your kind words for the tour and myself. I am also very happy to know that you enjoyed the tour. Although I sent you photos but not successful, Please send me an e-mail, which address is shown in my name card. In return, I plan to send you photos. Yasu
I booked Yasu san for a day trip to Nara for my parents (I've been to Nara before). My parents were delighted. He was always very punctual and kind. He had setup a plan for the day, but also during the day, he came up with suggestions that could be of more interest to my parents and adjusted accordingly. The day went smooth and delightful.
Dear Carlos Thank you very much for your kind words about the tour and myself. I am also very happy to know that your parents enjoyed the tour, Please give my warmest regards to Luis and Margarita. Yasu
We were looking for a serious, knowledgeable guide for Nara and Yasu was everything we wanted. I have been using guides on sites like this for several years and I would put Yasu at the very top of the guides we have had. See my review about our day with him in Kyoto. Again in Nara, his deep knowledge of Japanese history and culture gave us a perspective on the main sites that we would not have had. He also used his own car to take us to a temple and another historic site further away, which we would have missed entirely without him. Highly recommended if you are serious about seeing and learning about Kyoto and Nara. Kent and Luca
Kent & Luca Thank you very much for nice words on my tour in Nara. I also very happy to know that you enjoyed the tour in Nara including those which is difficult to visit using only public transportation. I wish to see you again. Yasu
