I have been to Yamadera many time but every time I was attracted by the beauty of Yamadear. It shows different colors every seeason.
and you can know the uniqueness of the history in Tohoku region.
it's a small town but there are many restaurants which serve delicious local food.
I can take you to a special holy place which is not known by many tourists yet.

if you want to explore in Yamagata more, there is a hiking course in the mountain so I can extend the tour if you request it to me.

“ Morning with Nani in Sendai ”
I had a wonderful tour of 3 hours plus with Mai in Sendai, her hometown. Mai spoke excellent English and was extremely knowledgeable about local landmarks, the major religions and local history. She is a lovely person and I enjoyed getting to know her. After the tour I contacted her and asked for restaurant recommendations in Yamagata and she texted me some wonderful options. “ Beautiful day in Matsushima ”
Matsushima is a must see if you are in Tohoku and Mai is an excellent guide to explore everything it has to offer. She is thoughtful and kind and everything went very smoothly. We even got to use the 1st class deck of the cruise ship for free. Her passion for the Tohoku region is infectious and she was able to recommend many other places of interest. She can provide the history of the area and background on its culture. We were lucky to have such wonderful weather too which always helps! I had an excellent day exploring Yamadera with Mai. She was very knowledgeable and organised and the day trip was very enjoyable. Mai and I had a great time in the mountains, where we did a hike through Omoshiroyama and then walked to Yamadera and did the temple steps climb. She was super fun to talk to. I would absolutely recommend her.
