Hello, I'm HIDEo YOSHIda. Please call me HIDEYOSHI, the same name as the famous shogun who built the Osaka Castle in 1585. I was born in Kobe and worked in Osaka for nearly 40 years. I would like to introduce the Kansai region to you ,including Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Wakayama. Kobe is one of the two largest ports in Japan, along with Yokohama. After the opening of the Port of Kobe in 1868, foreigners built their residences on the hillside of the Kitano-cho area, overlooking the ocean. Many of the foreign residences are now open to the public as museums, including the Weathercock House, with it's symbol weathercock on the triangle-shaped roof. In Meriken Park, the red Port Tower (the city's landmark), creates a beautiful contrast against the white Kobe Marine Museum. The museum's design was inspired by the waves and sailing ships. When you have a chance to visit Osaka, please join my tour. I'm sure you'll enjoy the interesting and historical, scenic spots. For example, Shin-Sekai is a downtown area with a strange mix of nostalgic atmosphere and contemporary energy. You can try local foods (kushikatsu, sushi, tempura) at a reasonable price. Billiken (a famous statue of the spirit of luck) will be waiting for you!!. Dotombori is a popular street with a lot of flashy signboards. Osaka is widely known as a "Kuidaore-no-machi", or literally "drinking and eating luxuriously to death." Osaka Castle was built by Toyotomi HIDEYOSHI in 1585. Oh, it's my residence, isn't it ! These days "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter" area in USJ, or Universal Studios Japan, is also attracting more and more people. I'll be looking forward to seeing you !!

Hello.I'm Masami! I work as a freelance translator and usually work in my room, but I would like to offer my assistance as an interpreter to foreigners who visit my beautiful home town Naruto, so I got National Guide Certificate. Naruto is very famous for the whirlpools which can be observed from ships, or from the Naruto Bridge spanning the Naruto Strait. And the Naruto Park also has a number of sightseeing points to enjoy. One of them is Otsuka Museum of Art. This museum reproduced masterpaintings in Western Art on ceramic boards in the identical sizes of the originals and Its collection consists more than 1000. In addition, Naruto is home to the first and second pilgrimage sites of the Shikoku Eighty-Eight Temple Pilgrimage. In the surrounding areas, there are breweries that produce sake and soy sauce using traditional methods. Would you like to enjoy Naruto with me? I look forward to your visit. Hola. ¡Soy Masami! Espero tu visita.

Hi, everyone. I am Kaz. I live in Ehime, which is opposite from Hiroshima across the Seto Inland Sea. There is no Shinkansen bullet train here, but there are many things to see. You will have a relaxed, peaceful time, feeling as if time were passing slowly. And you will find lots of beautiful things. For example, there has been a tradition in people's behavior that they will show their hospitalityby serving tea or cakes to walking pilgrims. There have been many who want to visit the temples belonging to the Shikoku 88 Sacred Places, as a pilgrim. There is also abundance of natural beauty. You can see high mountains extending to the far distance and rivers running through the area. It goes without saying that there is a lot of delicious food. I am looking forward to seeing you. Please come visit Japan, and discover hidden treasure. Thank you.

Second day: east side of Tokyo

For the east side of Tokyo, we hired Toshihiro to plan our 8 hour tour. My daughter researched the sites of interest in east Tokyo, with an emphasis on those that would interest my 10 year old granddaughter. Toshihiro offered us excellent advice and recommendations to complete our itinerary before we arrived in Japan. With water bottles, hats and suntan lotion, we met up with Toshihiro in the lobby of our hotel and headed off for a long, hot (35C or 98F) but fascinating day. As we approached the subway, Toshihiro advised us to buy a 24h unlimited Tokyo metro pass: adult 600 Y, child 300Y. THAT IS A DEAL because some brief rides cost 200Y! Toshihiro organized our day to ensure we had time to see all the sights with minimal retracing and for fast transfers using the Metro. We started out visiting the Imperial Palace grounds (there is zero shade), where Toshihiro gave a history lesson dating back to the Shogun period that was followed by the ascent of the Emperor. We then subwayed to the Tsukiji fish market after a brief stop at a very large Budhist temple next to the fish market, for a memorial service. We learned about the history of Tokyo and the Tsukiji fish market as we meandered the streets, admiring the fish and Wagyu meat, vegetables (wasabi), and ice cream including Black Sesame ice cream, my fave. Before leaving the fish market, Toshihiro brought us to a traditional Japanese lunch place that a food critic had highly recommended years ago. It was outstanding so we recommend it! Translated the name in English is "good old age". Then off to Akihabara (with claw machines), Nezu shrine and Asakusa area with the Senso-ji temple and Hozomon Gate. Toshihiro left us as we set out to enjoy an amazing sensory experience at Teamlab Planets (photos). We spent 90 minutes there wading through knee-deep water, AI generated fish, light-enhanced crystal hangings, room filled with giant balloons, pods and plants. What an amazing finish to a fun and informative day! Thank you

A must do tour. See Porto from a different perspective

For me this is a must to do while in Porto. Joao our driver and guide is so proud and passionate about his city. He took us through its history while transporting us around. Many stops for photos and explanations of the city's past and culture. We travelled through the cobbled back streets taking in the views from the motorbike and sidecar. Stunning! We ended the tour in the old fishing village with views out to sea. Joao's recommendation for lunch was spot on! It's set us up for the rest of our stay in Porto. We now have a list of what to visit and what not to. Excellent tour! Well done Joao for producing such a novel and fascinating tour!!

Exactly what we hoped for

Kuni was great at maintaining communication and arrived early to our meeting. The itinerary was varied and unique. We enjoyed each of the bars we visited. This was for my husband because I do not drink. But, I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere of each of our stops. Thank you, Kuni for another fun night in Shinjuku.

Kuniaki T.
