Tateo was the best part of our visit to Okinawa! My sister, daughter and I enjoyed our tour so much, we talked about it all night and still do with the rest of our families. We had so many questions, and thanks to Tateo he shared his knowledge and helped us better understand its history and culture. Tateo made us feel like family. My mother was Okinawan. But unfortunately she never had the opportunity to visit and that saddens us. So in her place we had the urge to visit and educate ourselves about our ancestry. We had a wonderful all day tour with Tateo to see the best of Okinawa! It was very easy to arrange a customized tour with him prior to tour and he communicated quickly and clearly our options and costs. He met us at the port with a detailed itinerary, a clean car and off we went! We had a wonderful time exploring the island, learning about its history and visiting important and beautiful sites During the day we made some changes to our itinerary and he easily accomodatef our requests. Tatao went above and beyond to make sure we had a splendid day in his beautiful home island! Hi, Aimee R. Today was the hottest day of the year, out side was 95 degree F, However the color of the sea was amazing and I was happy to introduce the beautiful sea " CAPE CHINEN". We really enjoyed our very full day with Tateo. He was concerned that we get the most out of the day and was able to be flexible, accommodating all my needs with a young child. He even managed to fit in a spontaneous side trip for us while still ticking off all that was on our itinerary. Tateo is a dignified and generous companion for the day and his company gave us a good sense of Okinawa's long and proud history.
In Japan, many students come to Okinawa on school trip to learn about the WW2. I'm glad your son was able to experience that too. When your son grows up and whats to learn about Japan, I would be happy if he rememberd coming to OKinawa. Thank you for coming all the way from far away "South Africa" to Okinawa.
