Poseidonia was founded by the Greeks at the end of the 7th century BC. The name was related to the Greek god Poseidon, protector of the sea.
This archaeological area is now one of the best preserved cities from the times of Greek colonization.
We will go to discover the evolution of this ancient city from the Greeks to the Romans!

We will visit the incredible preserved temples of the Greek gods and goddesses built 2600 years ago
Walking on ancient Greek and Roman streets we will see the main square, houses, Tombs of heroes and sacred areas.
A quick walk into the museum to see some of the main discoveries of the archaeologist: amazing paintings and artifacts of more then 2500 years ago

This is a walking tour. Tickets are not included. From mid April to mid October I suggest sun protection, hat and umbrella and a bottle of water.
