Driving by modern highways, soon you will meet Marinilla, ¨Cradle of the Independence” the first of several quaint towns part of the large Indian Reservations that took place from 17th century with the settlement of most important Catholic congregations, which gave rise to long interchange of main agricultural products coming from Europe and Asia, and our original items also taking roots in the rest of the world.
Also you will admire the town of Peñol and its people pride, and soon you will be watching the Guatapé Stone by the reservoirs, a 200M high monolith, with counted 699 steps to the summit, where you can catch the amazing views and colors of the reservoirs.
Next is your visit to the colorful town of Guatapé, for your well-deserved lunch with Whole Garlic Trout as local specialty, and your exploring in the major attractions for a visit that will fill you with countless photos of your good memories. It’s the place for your wanted souvenirs.
You would wish an early return around 4pm, and make way to your hotel or Airbnb in Medellin still at sunset.
