Hi, I'm Yoko, a National License Tour Guide&International Kikisake-shi.
I speak with an American accent, 'cause I lived in Seattle, Washington for six years in my childhood(3-9 years old). My tours might be better with people who LOVE TO WALK, have STAMINA and keen to learn about the culture.
Now I live within a walking distance from Ueno Park, Tokyo, so I see a lot of International tourists walking around in my neighborhood every day.
(PLEASE CHECK EACH TOUR. The expenses are spelled out, too.)
"Tokyo is larger than we thought and the transportations are so complicated," Swedish guys told me. I'm here to help you. I know well about Tokyo, Yokohama, Yamanashi etc. and I travel most of the parts of Japan.
I would appreciate if you could see more sightseeing spots with me as your guide and enjoy your stay.
I love to answer your questions, even though I became nearly breathless when I was with American guests, a family of three, curiously asking me questions after questions:-)
I appreciated their interest in Japan very much.
I also go mountain trekking for nearly thirty years. I've been to the summit of Mt. Fuji and Mt. Kitadake three times. Talking about Mt. Takao, maybe more than fifty times.
I hope we can enjoy the beautiful view together.
I'm looking forward to seeing you soon and having a good time together.
Hope to hearing from you soon.
It will be first booked, first served basis, but could you make inquiries before booking?
If you're interested in TOKYO, MOUNT FUJI, or NIKKO, please CHECK the TOURS before you make inquiries.
(Some transportation for Mount Fuji or Nikko might be fully booked if you do last minute booking.)
I could also guide KYOTO, HIMEJI etc. if you will cover my transportation fare round trip from Tokyo.
If you'd like a car chartered, please check the PRIVATE CARS TOUR by yourself.
It's concerned with your budget, so I'm afraid I cannot make arrangements for that, but I will be happy to guide you with the car you chartered.
It's impossible to make quotes without knowing the spots you would like to visit.
Nikko and Mount Fuji are approximately two hours on Limited Express from Shinjuku or Asakusa.
Tokyo is not a compact city, but a huge one.
If you have difficulties with stairs, please tell me in your message. Thank you.
Yoko met us at our hotel and showed us the historic areas of Tokyo like we requested. She was very informative and her English is better than most people in the U.S.
Wow, thank you for your prompt reply. It was fun meeting you and your family. The mom and daughter quiz competition was highlight of the day. I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay. Thank you again for the lovely day, Yoko
This was my wife and mine first time in Japan and Yoko was phenomenal. We did a full day tour but that included lunch and some beers with plenty of opportunities to take great photos. Yoko is very friendly and nice and did a great job teaching us about the history and culture through the day but in a very friendly and conversational way. Highly recommend Yoko!
I appreciate your great review, Hubert san. I had a great time with you and your lovely wife Brittany san. It is my first time talking about retirement and health care over Asahi Extra Cold at that restaurant. It was so interesting talking with both of you. I started to watch "Tokyo Vice" and looking forward to watching Episode 7 of Season 2 tonight, which broadcast is a little delayed compared to the States. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip and come again in the future. Thank you again for the lovely day, Yoko
When we met Yoko at our hotel, the first thing she did was point out the view of Mount Fuji from the hotel. She said that usually you cannot see it from Tokyo in May. We knew from there that Yoko would be providing valuable information along the way. This tour is important, not only to see the beautiful grounds and shrines, but also because of its links to the past, especially of the Shogun era in Japan in the Edo period. Yoko, brings along her expertise and teaches those she guides. It’s a great learning experience and she keeps photos and drawings of the Edo period with her. It helps make it a great tour. Yoko is also very nice and her English is perfect haven’t spent years in the US. She also helped my wife at a restaurant order with an allergy. We were lucky to have a warm, sunny day with a nice breeze. It was a perfect Saturday in May in Tokyo and a great tour. Thanks Yoko.
Thank you so much for such an amazing review, Len san. We were blessed with the perfect weather to explore East Gardens and Ueno Park and I was glad both of you were keen enough to walk to visit the sightseeing spots. Not only Mount Fuji, we could see some cherry blossoms still blooming at East Gardens. I really enjoy the conversations with you. As I have two guests in a row talking about "Tokyo Vice" I started watching it and soon I'm going to finish the 2nd Episode of Season 1. Some scenes of Shogun is quite gross but it is so authentic and "Last Samurai" is a marvelous movie with beautiful Samurai spirits, Bushido, which Ken Watanabe who is also in Tokyo Vice played the role of Last Samurai. I hope you enjoy Kyoto and your cruise too. Thank you again for the lovely day, Len sama and Sheryl sama.
We expected to have a deep dive on Japan culture and history during the tour. Instead we had a rushed and intense walk + subway tour that was neither inspiring or informative. The highlight was that the say was beautiful abd we got to see many of the cherry blossoms in full bloom.
Sorry I didn't match what you were expecting. I felt sometimes you seemed not to understand English well enough. Maybe you should look for a guide who spoke Portugese. I wish you would ask more questions for what you were looking for. I explained about Shogun and the history of Sensoji Asakusa. I hope the rest of your trip went well.
