About Tour Guide Yukiko F.
I'm Yukiko Fujii. I'm a Licensed Tour Guide and a Registered Nurse. I've worked as a guide since 2015. Thanks to increasing repeat, referred and new clients, tour guide is my main job. I've done virtual experience on Amazon and company events during the last 3 years pandemic. Since I am one of a few guides who tried virtual tour in Tokyo during pandemic, it was a challenging, but it was definitely a great step and enhanced my guiding skills.
I was born and raised in Tokyo. I am a mother so that I'd be glad to welcome families with young children as well.
I used to teach Japanese cultures to elementary students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 at local and private elementary schools when I lived in Canada, United states, and New Zealand. My happiest moments with these children were when they look forward to another lesson every week. All lessons were customized and prepared after discussing with each classroom teacher. It was a challenging job, but this experience broaden my horizon and prompted me to become an English tour guide.
I have a license of Registered Nurse and a Medical interpreter. I've still worked as a nurse during the off- tourism season so that I've kept a medical back ground. There are some common thinking between Tour guide and Nurse, both jobs are required to put myself into their shoes. I'll make plans considering their physical conditions and will arrange any supports after discussing about the tour. I've already experienced to do several tours for mobility challenged clients who have intractable disease and have a difficulty for a long walking. Mobility challenged customers (cane/wheelchair) are always welcomed.

One day-Private Tour based on your requests in Tokyo
My tour tyle is private customized tour in Tokyo, Yokohama, Kawagoe, Kamakura and other area (not so far from Tokyo) based on your requests. We communicate well in advance and will make your own itinerary. After booking, I will give you detailed itinerary. If you prefer me to dress up in Japanese attire Kimono on tour, I can do with no additional charge. Please feel free to contact with me.

You can enjoy seeing the real time viewing via Zoom while hearing interesting story, useful information, meanings of each spot from a professional guide. The guide visits popular spots in Asakusa or in Akihabara. I've done Live Zoom tour many times for individual customers and as a company’s event including through other sites since 2020. One day- Private Customized Tour in Kamakura
This tour is customized tour in Kamakura area. You can also include a short hiking course( 1 hour-1.5 hours) while visiting some temples. Enjoy nature walking and feel rich history in Kamakura There are many places in Kamakura, so we can discuss and make your own itinerary together.
One day-Private Tour for mobility challenged customers
For wheel chair and cane users, it might be challenging to visit many spots in Tokyo. Some barriers on the way like steps and hills, getting on the train. It is very important to organize everything well in advance in order to fit their health conditions and paces. After hearing your condition, I will make a tentative itinerary. I had experienced to work as a nurse at hospital and also toured for some mobility challenged guests. Please feel free to contact with me and enjoy your trip!

Kawagoe is located in Saitama which take about 1 hour and 15 minutes from the central Tokyo. The city of Kawagoe developed as an merchant city during the Edo period and has kept its old and nostalgic atmosphere. Kawagoe, exploring a rich historical city, will make your trip more fun! There are many historical places such as Kumano shrine, Kita-in temple, candy street and main "Kura" street. Let's strolling around Kawagoe together!
Private Customized Anime Spots Tour-Akihabara, Ikebukuro +α
Welcome to Private customized Anime spots Tour in Tokyo! Anime, Comics, Manga, Games are so big part of our culture. There are so many spots related with Anime such as Akihabara, Ikebukuro and Nakano Broadway. Regarding Ghibli, there is Ghibli museum in Mitaka. Aside from these area, there are many spots that were used in the film and museums. It's 8 hours tour based on your interests based on subculture related places. “ Yukiko was fantastic! ”
We had 4 fantastic days with Yukiko. One of our adult children has a disability and doesn't tolerate heat or a lot of walking very well, but Yukiko planned everything very well and had arranged for a car to drop us off/pick us back up at extremely convenient locations. She added some sites to our tour as we went along based on our interests (i.e. architectural sites outside of Tokyo center on our way back from Ghibli Museum) which was a treat. Having someone with a nursing background was a huge reassurance to me in case I needed to navigate the health care system. Final bonus was her amazing options for lunches - she gave us some options to choose from ahead of our trip, and we chose the ones that sounded the best to us. She had reservations ready, and all of the lunches were amazing and a highlight as well. Thank you, Yukiko!
