About Tour Guide Takako T.

Hello! I am Takako Takata. I was born in Kyoto and grew up in other several districts in Japan

where I was attracted by each place's feature. I started the tour guiding in 2009 in which I introduce interesting and unique spots to tourists. I love to share the marvelous time and moment with people through tours. In Japanese, we have a wonderful phrase expressing such moment and we call it "Ichigo Ichie". It means we have to treasure every encounter, a once-in-

a-lifetime-encounter that is , as it may not recur again. This word came from the spirit of tea ceremony. Anyway, let us enjoy extraordinary tours in Tokyo together, shall we ?

Important

As for Sunday, basically I am unavailable but in the case I will.

Thanks

Excellent Tour in Tokyo

Takako was an amazing tour guide. She showed up at our hotel early and had a prepared itinerary with maps ready for us. She showed us how to use the free shuttle bus our hotel had that we didn’t even know about. She also helped prepare us for the rest of our stay in Tokyo by teaching us how to use the subway and took us to Tokyo station to get a suica card. She was very knowledgeable about the places we went always giving us history and cultural facts. If you had a question and she didn’t have an answer she would ask the locals or read the signs to make sure we had one. It was also very helpful that she helped us order and buy things because we could not read Japanese. The tour didn’t feel rushed and she was willing to accommodate any change in plans or quick stops we had. I highly recommend her, she is knowledgeable and considerate tour guide.

Good morning Ethan! Are you all well? Thank you for your quick review telling that you enjoyed the first day in Tokyo. I think you have mastered the subway sistems and enjoyed many other places. It coutonues the good sunny days, but I hope you can keep healthy against heat stroke. Because Kyoto where you are going is locatef at the mottom of surrounding moutains, therefore it is very hot in summer and very cold in winter. I hope you all can have a nice time in Jupan under the good commander, Ethan. See you again Takako

Very Pleasant Half Day

I enjoyed my tour with Takako, particularly the gardens of the Imperial Palace and the route to get there. Takako shared some interesting facts and observations about Japan along the way. I didn't particularly enjoy the textile dying museum. It is really an atelier, which is interesting but we spent too long there and I felt I was expected to purchase something.

Takako T.

Hello Ruth Thank you for you review. I introduced the traditional textile museum as the unbeaten place where you requested, but I am sorry that it might be the unexpected place for you. Could you get the good image for your new garden from the tour in Japan. I enjoyed the time with you too. See you again Takako

Asakusa experience

Takako was very accommodating with customizing the tour to fit our needs. As first time travelers to Japan we may have underestimated the difficulties of dealing with a group of 8 in an extremely crowded and popular area. Takako was gracious to accept our group despite our size. Asakusa is extremely popular and very very crowded. We as a group of 8 were difficult to herd as we all were easily distracted by the sights, sounds, smells, and souvenirs lining the street. Takako was kind to meet us at the conclusion of a tea ceremony that we had booked separately. She then guided us to Sensoji Temple and the surrounding area. In my communication with her prior to the tour I had asked her to make reservations for our lunch. She happily obliged and booked us a tempura lunch, which was outstanding. We found her to be very knowledgeable and patient.

Hello Caron and all Thank you for your reviews The photos of all you in Kimono for the tea ceremony looked wonderful. I was very glad to have a lunch at the popular Tempura restaurant with your group. I enjoyed the tour as if I am a member of you. Thanked & see you again. Takako
