Popular Wakayama Koyasan Trip - where nature and historical buildings come together
Koyasan was founded by Kobo Daishi (Kukai) about 1,200 years ago as a center of Shingon esoteric Buddhism, and was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004 as "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range". I am from Wakayama, where I grew up for about 25 years. The tour will visit 4 popular spots including Kongobuji Temple, Danjo Garan, Okunoin, Reihokan. We will use public transportation such as walking and trains to get to each sightseeing spot.

“ 2 days in Kyoto ”
Kazu was a wonderful fit for our family! He had a really well planned 2 day itinerary for Kyoto and had excellent pre-trip communications. My 9 year old son sprained his angle the day before our tour. I was able to get him a wheelchair and Kazu went out of his way to help. He carried that thing around when we got as far as we could go, he helped me push it, and most of all he made sure everyone was having a good time. His knowledge and advice on food in particular is really good. I highly recommend having him with you in the markets. We enjoyed his company so much we invited him to dinner too. Thank you Kazu for helping us and making our trip memorable!

“ Kazu is a terrific guide ”
Kazu was a terrific guide for our excursion on June 18. He allowed us (7 adults) to customize our tour for whatever we wanted to do that day. He arrived promptly at our hotel at 8:30 am. Our first stop was the Fushimi Inari Shrine. Next we went to the Arashiyama area to see the bamboo forest. After a stroll through the forest, we stopped for lunch at a local ramen restaurant which was delicious. From there, we proceeded across the Togetsukyo Bridge to the Monkey park. The Monkey park was so fun!! Keep in mind, the hike up the hill is a bit more than I anticipated, it took us more than the 20 minutes suggested (for the hike) so allow yourself plenty of time to do this activity. From the monkey park we took a taxi to the Golden Pavillion. Great photo opps at this beautiful temple. Kazu was so friendly with all of us, especially our kids (not really kids, aged 18,21,24) but they talked anime and Pokemon a lot. Kazu also carried a camera and took photos of us all day. He also bought us some mochi candy from a street stand. Please do not hesitate to hire Kazu as your guide!
