My experience as a NYC tour guide spans the better part of a decade and has helped cement my reputation as one of the most sought-after tour guides in town. Indeed, I have had the honor of being named one of New York’s top tour guides. My exuberance, theatricality, passion and extensive knowledge of the city's history speaks for itself. I have a lifetime of exposure to the art of storytelling as a professional ballet dancer, actor and musician and I continue to grow in my abilities. You see, I am New York. My great-grandfather was the architect and musician to the King of Norway. His journey impressed me. My father was a prince of his tribe in Nigeria. His journey inspired me. My Grandmother was first generation Irish American. Her journey motivates me. And her parent's legacy begins a trail on Ellis Island. They all have a story to tell that lives through me. My fascination with immigration has been, in turn, the discovery of myself AND New York. As a true amalgamation of ethnicity, I am New York and my story, albeit specific, generically lives in the American dream. So what is it about New York? In discovering my own family history, I discovered the answer and it lies deep beneath the surface of the city, within the heart.
