Miniature of Indonesia & Bogor Gigantic Botanical Garden

This giant park represents Indonesia in Miniature. It is situated on 250 acres of land and allows the visitors with limited time the opportunity to "experience" all of Indonesia's 34 provinces. It features life-size replica of traditional architecture from each province. A miniature version of the Indonesian archipelago, a series of museums and a number of well-maintained parks and gardens.

Beautiful building full decorated with Balinese architecture/style and amazing collections of Indonesian traditional clothes, weapons, music instruments, miniature of traditional houses, Indonesian old banknotes and coins, Batiks and woodcarving.

Sumatera ( Padang ).

A magnificent big house, colorful with own collections of clothes, household utensils, weapons etc. It is well known as Rumah Gadang mean Great House of the ethnic group of Padang.

After spend hours in this park we will continue drive to Bogor.

When arrived in Bogor, we go directly to the restaurant to have Lunch. The lunch will be served in local restaurant, typical Sundanese restaurant with Sundanese cuisine / foods.

Bogor Botanical Garden is one of the oldest of its kind in Asia, conceived at the order of Sir Stamford Raffles and officially opened in 1817. This enchanting garden exhibits an impressive 17.000 species of plants, including rare orchids and the Giant Rafflesia from Indonesia and abroad. The entire grounds cover a vast 214-acres of 110 hectare in total with the beautiful Buitenzorg Paleis and also hold a cemetery.

A monument stands in Loving memory of Raffles' wife Olivia who died in Bogor but was buried in Batavia/Jakarta.

Buitenzorg paleis built by Governor Generaal Van Imhoff in 1745. He built a large country estate which he named BUITENZORG ( without worry ).

In the days before Independence this was the most important Dutch hill station, midway between the mountains and heat-ridden plains.

It has become an important center for scientific research in Botany, agronomy and forestry.

To explore this Giant Botanical Garden, you will be accompanied by local guide.

After 1.5 - 2.0 hours walking through/around the Botanical Garden, it is the time to drive back to Jakarta/hotel.
